Turkeys are beaten abused and mistreated by animal slaughters. Their beaks are broken off with no pain killers. They are stepped on and they are killed with no pain killers. (huffington post) Every year millions of turkey are killed for thanksgiving alone. I am going to give you two strong reasons why you shouldn't eat turkeys anymore for thanksgiving. One Turkey are treated horribly, two turkey are not sterile. One, according to P.E.T.A turkeys are handled improperly and are abused. When they are born they are placed in a room full ok other turkeys and to prevent them killing each other their beaks are broken off without painkillers. Baby turkeys will never see their real mothers. Instead there is a heat lamp that they huddle around. Workers Can treat the birds however they want and when work inspectors went undercover he found one worker bragging that he stomped on a bird after the bird was pecking at him. The birds are drugged to get them to grow as fast a possible. When they are just five months old they are put on changes and sent over to a factory on a truck. The cages are not let down by anything. “The first human death from bird flu in North America was recently reported” and their are many more cases of the bird flu. Turkeys are also stuffed with drugs that make them grow faster. So when they eat the drugs you also end up eating those drugs to. These drugs make them grow faster. The turkeys are covered in germs also due to the fact that where they lived their entire life is very unsteiral. These conditions are life threatening to the turkeys and ofin make you sick because of the fact they the turkeys aren't properly sterilized when they are killed. The antibiotics they are given are even germ resistant, that proves that the farmers know that the living conditions are unsterile but they chose not to do anything about
