Trumps border wall should not be build due to the many flaws such as cost, how it doesn't work and how it can cause US and Mexican relations to fall apart. The first reason why Trumps wall should not be built is because it will be too expensive and will raise a lot of taxpayers taxes. According to the article, Why we should not build Trump's border wall (2017), “Needing to fulfil his election pledge to start building on day one, Mr Trump has signed an executive order setting it in motion. He has accepted that US taxpayers will have to cover the initial funding.”(BBC, para.13). The article has also stated that it would cost about 15 to 20 billion dollars to build, meaning that if the wall is built taxpayers taxes will go up and due to the wall. 8). This means that most of the people who come into the United States illegally, don’t sneak in through the border, but come in legally through planes, trains or cars, and overstay their visits. This proves that a border wall wouldn't work because it wouldn't help keep illegal immigrants away because most illegal immigrants don't sneak in by foot. The last reason why trumps wall should not be built is because President Trump had repeatedly said that Mexico will pay for the wall, however the leaders of Mexico have also said that there is no way they are pay. This can lead to US and Mexican relations falling apart. According to Tracy Wilkinson and Brian Bennett, “Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto met on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit here, amid sharp disagreements over trade and immigration.” (Wilkinson, Bennett, 2017, para. 2) They also stated, “The proposed wall continues to make that difficult.” (Wilkinson, Bennett, 2017, para. 3) and “Mexican officials were privately angry that Trump responded the way he did.” (Wilkinson, Bennett, 2017

Someone else might argue that the wall will reduce crime by keeping out terrorists and other people that might pose a threat to the U.S but in reality they really can’t keep everyone else out because they are just putting an obstacle across but eventually they will find a way to get across because they are not really doing anything and that is basically making the wall useless if they cannot contain other people out. Other people might also argue that the wall will protect American jobs due to the fact that the wall is basically keeping out the so called “immigrants” and they say that they are the ones that are taking out all the American jobs but their statements are all false and is quite the opposite to what they are saying because many jobs depend on Mexicans and with the alliance of Mexico and the U.S so the topic would be controversial for many reasons. Other people may also argue that the population of immigrants coming to the U.S are still going to come and they will never stop coming because there will always be a reason to come here. Their arguments are flawed because they have no real proof that the wall will work against immigrants and other people that can pose…

In the 2016 presidential election, both candidates Hillary R. Clinton a Democrat and Donald J. Trump a Republican have stated their plans for immigration. Donald Trump believes that bigger fence comes with greater defense; he proposes that to end illegal immigration is by building a big and an impregnable wall, where “Mexico will pay for it” (Porter). While that might sound good and interesting to see be done, it 's highly unnecessary. For all we know the wall is already there, which is a fence across large stretches of the southwestern border completely surrounded by drones, sensors and army agents (Porter). So if undocumented immigrants, in ways unknown, bypass the fences, what make a wall so different?…

All throughout Trump’s campaign that was one problem he wanted to be fixed and has started trying to fix it, not well though. One of Trump’s main solutions for the Mexican immigrants coming in is a wall bordering the America-Mexico border so that illegal immigrants can not make it through the border. The problem for this wall is the funding for it. ” The Trump administration’s proposed budget will include a 14 percent cut in Coast Guard funding to help pay for a crackdown on illegal immigration” (Trump Budget). When the article says “crackdown on illegal immigration” it is talking about the immigration on the Mexico border.…

Would you be angry if you lost millions of dollars every year because people don’t pay their taxes? Well that’s how the government feels about illegal immigrants when they cross the U.S. and Mexico border. Illegal immigrants are crossing the border and are getting jobs in the United States, without any documents. American citizens are paying more taxes and that money goes to places like churches and charities that are protecting illegal immigrants so they can stay and get some money. A wall across the U.S. and Mexico border will protect American jobs and reduce crime because, jobs are being taken, illegal immigrants are not paying taxes on their jobs, and many criminals will not be able to smuggle items across the border.…

“Although urban regions of the border have the most intimidating walls and barriers, they too are hardly impenetrable” (Schaefer 176). There already tunnels built underground that can be used by anyone to cross the border, whether it is for better life or other negotiation purposes. Even if the walls were upgraded, there will still be possibilities that someone can mount taller ladders or ropes as a way to step on the other side of the fence. “Moreover, it would create a border security-industrial triangle that built enormous vested interests in perpetuating the image of the border as a dangerous place” (Payan 13). The fence will serve as a fear factor not only for the illegals but also for the people who live nearby.…
