Persuasive Essay On Track In High Schools

Here we go again, it has started to sprinkle and now we can’t run the mile outside because of the DIRT TRACK. I guess we have to run it in the hot and smelly building. I also want to do track but my friends and I don’t have cars and we don’t have a ride to the track either. For gym and track students they often complain about having a dirt track. Most schools in Montana don’t have dirt tracks, but Havre High School does. For this reason HHS students have to practice and have meets at the middle school. Shouldn’t the high school have a better track than the middle school? It is a proven fact that when you run on a dirt track you are slower than when you run on a rubber track, so if you were trying to get the fastest mile run and missed it by five seconds it is because of the dirt.

Whenever it rain the track gets muddy and you can’t run on it because you don’t want to get dirty. On rubber, rain doesn’t affect the feel of it so you can still run and not get muddy, but on dirt you will get muddy,gross, and it makes holes and puddles. For that reason students have to run the mile or sprints inside that were suppose to be done on the track. Running inside happens to often Havre citizens and HHS students wanting to run the mile on the track because it rains a lot and it makes holes so it is dangerous to run outside. The gym teachers make the mile inside to be longer so everyone wants to run it outside, there is also no fresh air so it is harder to breathe inside. In conclusion to reading this you should be on the same page as me, we should make a rubber track. It helps everyone with the gas and time it takes to get up to the middle school track. No one would complain and you won’t have to run inside pr have muddy clothes just trying to have a nice run outside. I’m not even in track and see driving a
