Drop the dip that is in your hands. Throw out all forms of tobacco that is currently in your possession. Do not forget about the stash that you have hiding around the house, in your car, or even at your workplace. Start today and make a change in your life that will not only benefit you, but your love ones as well. As satisfying as each smoke or dip may feel, the damage that you are doing to yourself is indeed a lot more dissatisfying than you may possible know or even believe. Every tobacco product is detrimental to your health and there is no such thing as a safe level of tobacco use. So that is another reason why you should quit chewing or snuff, an additional one is your role as a role model to children and adolescents. Whether they are yours or not, children look up to the adults around them and inherit habits that they see them do as well. Research indicates that when the youth associate a particular behavior with certain people or personalities they admire, they are keener to try that behavior because adolescents identify with such people. The most recognized group of individuals that use chewing tobacco are baseball players, and like a lot of other athletes, baseball players are looked upon as role models for children who enjoy the sport. So if a child watches a baseball game and decides to pick up a chewing habit because their dad’s favorite player Tony Gwynn did it, a man that that child has never met, would it be safe to assume that a kid would pick up such a habit from the male figures he is surrounded …show more content…
So with that being said, do not do it alone. You have a lot of people who would be willing to help you accomplish your goal of quitting. Whether it may be your family, friends, coworkers, or even your doctor, there are a lot of people who will be in support of you quitting and will do all things necessary to make sure that you do quit.
