Since the 20th century, exploring the space has been the toughest competition for the former Soviet Union and the United States of America. The title of having the first man to walk on the moon is considered a valuable award, because it shows which country has the best technology, science, and economic system. The money spent on war, it could have been used for donations to charities or people in need of the basic necessities to live, such as food and shelter. Every year, consumers in rich countries waste millions of tonnes of food that could be given to the less fortunate. Starvation could be easily solved by not squandering food and by donating to the nearest food banks. As stated before, the Space Race contributed to humankind greatly by manufacturing machines that are essential to our everyday lives. With the millions of dollars spent on the expensive programs to help our community grow is far superior to spending millions of dollars on conflicts between different nations that creates a slaughterhouse for humans, and foods that will just end up in the
