Men, women, children, and even animals were being blamed for being a witch, when they were completely innocent. Although in the Crucible, it was mostly teenage girls, there were some men but they didn’t completely confess. There were other problems arising throughout the Crucible that happens in the U.S. on a daily basis. Men, including women, find another person who they like better and do things with them that shouldn’t be done, especially when married. Abigail Williams, who was 11 years old at the time of the cheating, and John Proctor, who was 60 at the time, did exactly that. They destroyed relationships with other people and caused others to be killed because of it. The death of innocent people are major issues everywhere. They just stand somewhere and they could be killed. In Iraq and Afghanistan, people are just shooting each other because they have no idea what to do. The only thing that they truly are is pointless. It’s not like they actually did things to us. There are shootings that occur at schools, theaters, basically anywhere. They can be completely avoided but doesn’t always work. The people in the Crucible were being hung for being a “witch” but they didn’t have anything to do with the problems spreading throughout the town. We can remedy every issue that occurs. If this was to happen today, police have new technology that they could use. They have a polygraph that they could use on all the accused. Although the polygraph takes 20-30 minutes to detect if the person is lying or not. This would help find what is actually going on. They could, also, separate the girls. This would keep the girls from coming up with a story that they can tell and it be the same. Separating the girls would show what girls are lying or telling the truth. This way we could find who is doing what.
Abigail caused all the issues in the Crucible. If she wouldn't have kept changing her story, everything would have been perfect. Every human that died during the Crucible died for no reason. They weren't witches, but they were innocent people. While Abigail is a blank-faced liar, who keeps covering up her mistakes, other humans are being blamed in Salem. Innocent people, whom she blames, are being hung. In other cases, some are even being crushed or kept in jail for other issues. What would really happen if this happened today? How would you deal with this type of
