89% of American adults agree that sending and receiving text messages or emails while driving is not only a distraction but it also isn’t safe and should be illegal. You’re about 6 times more likely to cause an accident than driving intoxicated. According to National Highway Transportation Administration texting while driving is the same as driving after 4 beers. 57% of American drivers admit to texting behind the wheel. Texting while driving makes you 23 times more likely to be in an accident, it’s identical to driving blind for 5 seconds simultaneously and it also lowers your brake reaction speed by 18%. These statistics were given by VA. Tech Transportation Institute and The Human Factors & Ergonomics Society.

People pay attention to more incoming texts then oncoming traffic. Passing a law didn’t seem to work. We still got onto our phones because we had the capability too, and there wasn’t a way to truly enforce the law. What if instead there was a law passed that enabled authorities to enforce the banning of the usage of a cellular device. My solution to the problem that is causing harm to many is that the U.S. passes a bill that requires us to have Cellcontrol. Cellcontrol is an app that has the ability to call 911 but can disable the ability to text, email, take pictures, surf the web, play games, explore social media, and other phone applications while driving a vehicle. To meet your specific needs, Cellcontrol is highly customizable. You decide what to allow or disallow while driving. Block texting only, allowing navigation only, or only allowing certain calls from specific people to come through. It's up to you. Cellcontrol is the true solution that will prevent car accidents from happening. It’s something that can’t be turned off as soon as your vehicle is in motion so is Cellcontrol.
