Texting and driving has become one of the worst habits among the younger generation in America. According to TeenSafe.com, teen drivers 15 to 19 years old are more likely at risk for texting and driving behind the wheel (Teensafe, 2017). These are very young ages and are scary for parents and other drivers around them. This is because they are more likely to get into a car crash and they are more likely to even lose their life. Teens need to stop using their electronic devices and to actually focus on the road. Texting while driving is the number one distraction for young teen drivers (Teensafe, 2017). For example, California had primary secondary laws about texting and driving (NA, 2018). Special laws are also applied to people under the age of 18. This law is the banning of handheld and hands-free devices and any cell phone. Bus drivers also have to follow this law to keep children safe.
