Don’t Text yourself To Death
If asked, Americans may say they can’t live without their phone. Therefore, this causes people to have the desire of a cellular device everywhere. Most are obsessed with cell phones because of the ability to text. I must say, I am one of those obsessed people. Texting over the years have become internationally popular. It’s to the point where people are beginning to text & drive. There are studies that prove you shouldn’t text and drive but I believe it’s beneficial. Texting while driving is beneficial because it increases income for businesses such as the law enforcement, Insurance companies & telecommunication businesses.
Increase in speed is very common when texting while driving. Texting distracts a driver manually, visually & mentally. Today texting and driving is against the law in the state of South Carolina. Therefore, this keeps law enforcement fairly busy. The increase in speed, give officers the advantage to write more tickets. The more tickets officers write the easier it is for them to meet monthly/yearly quotes. Finally, with more tickets comes income increase for officers. I strongly believe that officers have no problem writing tickets.

It may not be beneficial to those who caused the wreck but it is very beneficial for the opposite party. Insurance companies raise rates when individuals are in a wreck. Therefore, a profit will be made. Many towing establishments are also benefited. Body shops and towing services run through many insurance companies just because it’s a guarantee payment and a quick way to expand. The more accidents that are caused from texting gives the insurance companies the possibility of people purchasing higher insurance plans. Furthermore, younger individuals who drive, full coverage may be something most of their parents are interested in due to constant texting and
