Some people like to believe that laws are ineffective against texting and driving and that we do not need these laws. However, we do need these laws to keep ourselves and others safe on the road. There are three main reasons why we need to stay with these laws against texting and driving.The first reason is that motor car accidents are the leading cause of death between the ages of 5 and 34 years old. The second reason is the use of cellphones on the road especially texting is the main target of police and lawmakers. The final reason is the what we can do. What can we do to stop losing innocent people, due to the reckless endangerment of texting and driving. We should have more laws for texting and driving to keep innocent lives safe.
Motor car accidents are the leading causes of death for people between the ages of 5 and 34 years of age. We can try to completely end texting and driving to make our streets safer. U.S states wanted to rush and pass laws to ban or limit phone use on the roads. They have fought for years to try and change the driving laws. Many drivers have stated they are unhappy about sharing the road with people that are trying the new technology. Law officials are introducing severe punishments for using any electronic device in the car. They should face mandatory prison terms if they cause major fatalities.
