As of late, this country has frequently been on the news and the state of civilians in Syria is deplorable. Many are impoverished and homeless due to the Syrian Civil War which has resulted in so many areas being destroyed by bombings. While I and millions of other Americans come home from school or work to our families and discuss our days at dinner before going off and watching tv or playing video games, millions of people are forced to live in packed refugee camps because they had no choice but to flee their country and homes for fear of being murdered. Seeing as how the U.S. participated in Syria’s relentless war by launching a missile strike with the intention of preventing chemical attacks, don’t you also think we should allow a good amount of Syrian refugees into our country since the entire purpose of our attack was to help them? Apparently, the Trump administration does not. In 2016 alone, over 12,000 Syrian refugees were permitted to enter the U.S., a small amount compared to how many still needed to be relocated.
