Persuasive Essay On Stop Youth Suicide

In order for teachers to talk to their students, students here at UPA should converse to the principal to see if the school could include necessary programs to help suicidal teens. (Add explanation) One way this action plan has worked is how an organization who adds programs at school. In the website www.stopyouthsuicide.com SYS(Stop Youth Suicide) is a organization who have a program made up of students and volunteers. These people decreased the suicide rates by advocacy, education, service(asking school staff) and evaluation. This program helped find out students who really needed the help to prevent suicide (www.stop youth suicide.com, 9 May 2017). This proves that having this program helped decreased the attempts of suicide because students had the program implemented into schools by talking to the head of the …show more content…
This also demonstrates SYS works on helping the school implement the program. This connects to my action plan because since students helped add this program to schools UPA students could learn from them and add a program. Another way the action plan worked is by having a person who has went through an attempt of suicide and survived. According to www.speakup.us Kevin Hines a man who attempted suicide now speaks to school districts, classes and school staff about his experience with the attempt of suicide.
