Animal testing shouldn't be allowed to happen because animals are getting hurt, they are not protected, and animals get mistreated. Scientist justify use of animals in biomedical research on two grounds: the contribution that the information makes to human and animal health and welfare, and the lack of any alternative way to gain the information and knowledge.(Use of Animals in Biomedical Research, 622). One demonstration of the critical role that animals play in medical and scientific advances is that 54 of 76 Nobel Prizes awarded in physiology or medicine since 1901 have been for discoveries and advances made…

The use of animals for commercial and scientific testing is inhumane. According to Dawkins, “all suffering is undesirable, whether it be in humans or animals”. The tests need to be conducted on animals because we don’t know what the reaction will be. Test subjects that are used go through endless suffering and pain on a daily basis because the research conducted isn’t near perfection. The scientists who are using animals as their test subject do not care about the animal’s lives.…

The United States, along with many other countries, have turned to the use of animals in research labs to test human products for hazardous substances. According to the Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal, the United States uses about 12 million animals every year making it the biggest conductor of animal experimentation in the world. Scientists and many companies believe that testing their products on animals save humans from being harmed if the product is toxic. However, no matter what the benefits of animal experimentation are, the tests conducted on the animals are cruel.…
