What is every kids dream? A police officer, a doctor, and what else? An astronaut, every kid dreams about flying into space and seeing the stars. (fragment/generalization.) But, in order to be an astronaut you need something. A spaceship, so that is what NASA is for. NASA is a big company that is mostly known for in Huston, Texas. It became most popular and is mostly known for Apollo 8 and the space race. People worry about whether or not NASA should be funded and if they should continue with space exploration.

A space shuttle, and that is a good thing. NASA sells everything they have. Which explains why the Houston dosen’t get the newest and coolest space stuff. “A recent article in the Chronicle says "The space agency opted to place the shuttles in locations ... where it believes the greatest number of people could see the spacecraft." Admittedly, New York City and Los Angeles each get more tourists than Houston does. But Senator [Kay Bailey] Hutchison is also quoted as saying "priority should be given to communities with strong historical ties to NASA, and in particular the shuttle program." If the rule was that number of tourists was a higher priority than historical ties, then Houston never had a chance. The fact that the California Science Center "... hasn't hired an architect yet to design the new facility and is now planning a fundraiser" should say something about how tourism trumped historical ties.” NASA just cares about money and if they had that kind of technology it would end badly.
