They started teaching about everything to the soldiers in World War 2 (Cornblatt). Soldiers would of been better off with sex education in schools as they were growing up and as scientists were learning more about it. Many soldiers were getting diseases and they did not know anything about them so the taught them about the diseases. By showing them pictures and telling them the symptoms of each disease they could potentially get. In 1968 the US Office of Education gave a grant to New York University to develop graduate programs for training sex ed teachers. If more teachers knew what they were teaching and kept up with classes to keep up to date with the new sex ed curriculum and new information then the students that are being taught would know up to date things and would know accurate information about the human body. If the teachers knew what they were teaching and were certified to teach the class, then you wouldn 't hear stories about how when they were in school that the teachers made up stories to scare you from having sex and not properly teaching the students what they needed to know for when they actually did have sex in the future. If the call to action or the bills aren’t made then people in the U.S. aren’t going to have the proper education about the human body and that the rates of everything are going to stay up and they won 't go down if people don 't know the problems or consequences of things that they do. If the bills are enacted, then the rates on everything will go down and people will know the right information about the human body so that they can be safe when doing things with other people.
