As you are aware, the rate of school shootings have increased drastically. We need more control on who is capable of buying guns. I truly understand that the Second Amendment states that people have the right to bear arms and the terms shall not be broken. But in this case there have been more school shootings in this year alone than in any other country. I respect the Second Amendment, but children are dying over it.
Something has to change, the gun policies have to have more restrictions with who can purchase them and who can not. The answer is not more guns. I honestly believe raising the age limit will help, but it is not enough. There should be more background checks when purchasing a gun, including stricter mental health checks. Gun
