Often times we get in trouble in life because we have detoured from the plan that God has for your life. God states in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” It should be comforting that an omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient God loves you and has desire to see you prosper. This is truly a great wonder that a God like this thanks so much of us. I sometime plunder about myself and mankind that I too ask the question of David from Psalms 8:4, “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?” It is important to know that God do know who you are. First of all, marriage is between a man and woman. There is no exception. There is no variance process that will allow God to honor a same sex marriage. This has nothing to do with their salvation. However, it has everything to do with God not honoring the marriage. Homosexuality is one of the things that will cause you not to inherit the kingdom of heaven. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” Secondly, marriage is both spiritual and physical. God started blessing Adam and Eve’s marriage prior to them even having a physical body. It is important that we be concern with our mates spirit and not just their physical being. What do they believe? How do they relate you and the rest of their life to God? Is the spirit being fed? Do we understand what God has told us? It is important that we understand that we are married to the entire person and not just the mind and body. God wants us to have a complete marriage. The God’s law of marriage in 1 Cor. 11:7 teaches us that men is the head of the wife because Eve comes from Adam. The wife is not a slave but she has a moral obligation to submit her to the Husband as he follows God. The husband responsibility is to be the priest, provide and protect his wife. We should be in tuned with both God and our wives. There should be constant communication show that we may be able to minister in time of need. Husbands should work. It does not matter if he makes the most money in the marriage. What does matter is that he is willing to sacrifice and work that his wife with God’s blessing can eat and have shelter. It is the Husband responsibility to protect the wife from that is contrary to God. The war is not against flesh and things of this world but it is against spiritual things. You may conquer and destroy your enemy physically. However, unless you defeat the ungodly spirit your victory will be short lived. All of this ties together. You must be in Christ to accomplish satisfactory the role that God has you in. It is important for the marriage that the Husband operates in his role for he is the guardian of the marriage. When he is not operating in his role then demons can attack the marriage and the wife and win at will. Likewise, it is important for the woman to allow the man to operate in his role. It does not matter who you think is the smartest or more capable in any area. God has made him the head.
