Religion in School
Religion in school has always been controversial. When one attends a public school he is not allowed to praise his God. Why? Because it would not be fair for one student or a group to follow one religion when another student is of another religion. For example one kid is Christian and another is Muslim. The school cannot give the teaching or follow one religion and not the other. Religion can be taught as a part of history but schools are not allowed to teach prayers or etc. Religion can be followed at private schools who have the opportunity to teach only one specific religion which they believe is the religion to be true. In public schools they are allowed to teach the Bible in Bible class or in history class where they …show more content…
So is religion in school controversial? Yes. Why? Because public schools can not favor or just teach one religion without offending one of the parties from either religion. Plus, Science is a big factor in which religion should not be allowed in school. In example Christians believe that God created humans and humans only in his form, so many Christians do not for a second believe in extraterrestrial life. So not many Christians or any people from other religions wish to explore the universe due to the fact that their religion may be wrong. Private schools should not have the privilege to teach anything different than the public schools cause that could cause a learning gap. So what should be done is Ban all religion in schools till High School levels and make religion an option of faith but not an option as a history. During the High school level is when either one of the theories stated above should be introduced to a not so gullible mind. World wide everyone should have the opportunity to follow his or her own faith without having to be scared, threatened, or killed for what they believe in.
