I am glad and honored that you have reached out to me in your decision to quit smoking. I am also happy you are trying to find other alternatives to help you quit smoking. I will try to do my best in describing and listing the good and bad affects electric cigarettes cause. I will also read the article you have listed and get a couple of different articles to get more information on what electric cigarettes really are and if they are a good alternative tool to use when it comes to quitting to smoke. After reading a couple of articles it is stated that electric cigarettes are devices that are powered by batteries that then heat up the liquid nicotine to create smoke. In many electric cigarettes nicotine is used in high amount to subsidize the addiction tobacco contains. Also (Patricia A Normandin & Stacey A Benotti, 2015) states that most nicotine users are not familiar with how dangerous this liquid is towards children based on the colors and taste the nicotine has; most of the affected people are children. As I am happy you are trying to quite smoking conventional cigarettes electric cigarettes have only been in the market for a while and are yet to prove if it can be an alternative to help people stop smoking. Even though they do not contain tobacco the main ingredient that causes cancer. Liquid nicotine has not been regulated so there isn’t a saying of how much you can use or smoke for it to cause a serious health issue (Matt Richtel, 2014). So I would suggest you to use other alternatives dad like nicotine gum and patches witch have been regulated to not cause harm to the consumer and wait until the case of E-cigarettes is studied and proven to help consumers stop
