Persuasive Essay On Pro Sports

This was never a thing that the NFL or pro sporting was worried about about the players kneeing for the anthem was never a big thing. It all started when everyone saw what colin kaepernick taking a knee when the national anthem was playing and they went wild over that but then it spread around on social media but every sport thing in the morning like sportscenter went wild over it. When kaepernick was just protesting his rights the players should take a knee and protest their rights. The NFL and other sporting things just need to let the players do it and not fine them. Or even whatever they want to do like raise their fist in the air or take a knee.

One reason that the NFL should allow players like colin kaepernick it shouldn't matter if they a taking a knee during the anthem or not taking one everyone should be treated equal or even just holding their hand in the air like understand that they are doing something wrong then u can fine them but the players are just protesting their rights. But something that would be bad if someone did like a late hit on someone or head to head contact or even did something to the refs or even to the fans.

You would think that like if players like hit the ref or hit each other then they would get fined. It's not because the players have the money to pay the fine but for taking a knee during the national anthem and getting fined is weird they just have their rights to the amendments . So we the people kind of like that and kind of don't like that players are getting fined but players like Odell Beckham deserve to get fined because they do the stuff like fight with other players during the

The fact that the NFL just decided to "take a knee" because Donald Trump called them a bunch of "sons of bitches" disappoints me because that is a horrible reason to kneel. I know not all players think that, but the league wide protest did not start until Donald Trump insulted them. This is not anything new. I hate how that was the tipping point that brought the NFL players and owners together to kneel. People have different reasons to stand or kneel, but if they are kneeling because of what Donald Trump said, they haven’t been paying attention.…

The NFL players kneeling for the national anthem is not that big of a deal because it does not affect my life, they are standing up for what they believe in, and everyone has the right to their own actions and opinions. Kneeling for the national anthem, in some eyes, is very disrespectful because the national anthem is honoring those who have fought for our country. Although, in other people’s eyes, they believe that it is acceptable to kneel because of the police brutality in our country. In “Why Colin Kaepernick and I Decided to Take a Knee”, Eric Reed states that him and Kaepernick sat down during the national anthem because of the police brutality and to stand up for the people who do not have a voice.…

As you may know, everyone has a voice and rights. In my personal opinion, it doesn’t matter how you make your message as long as it's not hurting anyone or destructive. Even if a person is taking a knee during the national anthem, it is not “ disrespectful”. After all, these NFL players are professional and won’t do something like use foul language on live tv or something.. Kraft believes that “Our players are intelligent, thoughtful, and care deeply about their community”(2).…

Colin Kaepernick's protest was not unconstitutional, he had the right to take a knee during the anthem and yet it seemed that he had committed an unspeakable crime. Accepting that he would probably be pushed head-first into controversy and all over television, he used it to his advantage. In a way, he shone more light on police brutality and racial injustice though it came at a great cost. Surprisingly enough, while a majority of NFL players are black, 83 percent of the fanbase are white, and 64 percent are male. These fans deal out astounding amounts of cash to watch African-American players while their bodies are tackled, battered, running and keeping their helmets on.…

In the past few weeks, protests have been going on at NFL games by kneeling at the playing of the National Anthem. Very patriotic citizens have complained about this, and have gone to the internet to complain about these protests, saying that the flag and the National Anthem are both being disrespected. What they don’t understand is that everyone has the right to protest, and kneeling at the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner is a peaceful protest. And another thing that they don’t understand is that people who are kneeling are kneeling at the thought of social injustice, such as police brutality towards black people and other people of color. Some people may think that even though people are protesting in these ways, they could protest…

Lately there has been a lot of protests popping up throughout the media due to NFL player Colin Kaepernick sitting during the National Anthem prior to the start of an NFL preseason game. This was an act of protesting that occurred during the fall of 2016 to fight against police brutality on African Americans, on the other hand it was not taken in such a sense and offended many people such as veterans, commentators, as well as many fans. Of course, there is a whole different end of the spectrum that there was no offense taken and left with the thought that other people are just being preposterous.…
