Drug addiction is a powerful demon that can sneak up on you and take over your life before you know it has even happened. In today’s world this this demon is set lose upon us, our friends and family by someone we trust with our lives, our doctor’s There’s an epidemic happening right now and America is leading the charge. Pain, stress and anxiety are things that many people live with every moment of everyday. In today’s modern world the easiest was to fix these problems is to take medication given to you by your doctor. This is also the easiest way legitimate users become at risk of developing a chemical dependence. Particularly if they use the drug more frequently, in higher doses, or for longer periods of time than prescribed – all of which are easy to do when judgment is clouded by severe or chronic pain. According to CDC In 2007, approximately 27,000 unintentional drug overdose deaths happened in the United States, one death every 19 minutes making prescription drug abuse is the fastest growing drug problem in the United States (NCBI).
