Preschool promotes better learning techniques …show more content…
The preschool curriculum combines many ways for the student to learn. When kids get enrolled into preschools they all learn the same thing. The teachers try to begin with the child's name because most of the kids come in knowing absolutely nothing (U.S. Congress 2). Other things that the students are taught are things like their colors, numbers, nursery songs, how to cut, and how to begin to read (U.S. Congress 2). Many schools might leave the kids a bit of homework or a simple activity that they have to do with their parents. By doing many students don't lose that interaction with the parents. Losing interaction with the parents is very easy because once the parent drops of the child at school they think that the preschool is going to teach them everything, but in reality the students need the parents by their side at all times supporting them. Then they go to the most valuable lesson they will have, which is learning their ABC’s. The ABC’s fill your child with spelling power, that pushes them to use new words and create unknown words in their minds. After, they transition to the next steps of the curriculum to further help the children. Preschools have many benefits when it comes to the future of the children. Many kids that don't have an early childhood education may make so bad decisions when they become older that may change their lives. “One summary of the research literature found that without a high-quality early childhood intervention, an at-risk child is: 25 percent more likely to drop out of school, 40 percent more likely to become a teen parent, 50 percent more likely to be placed in special education, 60 percent more likely never to attend college, and 70 percent more likely to be arrested for a violent crime” (Brown). When parents send their child to preschool every day, the parents get an opportunity to go to work and not worry about their child until they check out of work
