I believe that there is no such thing as an aggressive breed of a dog. People often claim that American Pit-bull Terriers (Pit-Bulls) are an aggressive breed of a dog. That is frustrating to me as I have a Pit-Bull, and she is not aggressive.

They’re not beasts to be feared and afraid of. Pit-bulls aren’t all good either. They have teeth potential to use them, just like any dog. Their bodies are powerful and with a persistent nature make them formidable animals. They do need to be treated with care and respect. They do require a lot of exercise, proper training and responsible management. If you’re willing to devote the time and effort that is necessary, owning a pit bull can be immensely rewarding. Her name is Caramel but her nickname is “Lil Pig," because when I brought her home, she looked more like a potbellied pig. They’re the sweetest and most lovable dogs. I have more trust in the pit bull than any other breed of a dog. My granddaughter can crawl all over her without any signs of aggression. I find that if a person shows that he or she is afraid of her is when she gets timid. Even though she is timid she isn’t aggressive. I got Caramel when she was eleven weeks old. She was abused, scared of people, afraid of loud noises, quick movements, stern voices, etc.… Caramel is almost three years old now, and with all the love and attention that I gave her, she is a totally different dog. She still gets timid at times, but even though she is her tail is just a wagging.
