Drugs are horrible things that can tear families apart. However, there are drugs that are prescribed to millions, every day. Prescribed medication can help strengthen the person, and bring families together. You often wonder where the line lays between prescription drugs and illegal ones. The legal drugs have many side effects, and can be as dangerous as the illegal ones. Heroin and Oxycodone have similarities. Yet, one is legal and the other is not. It’s insane how the one is much more controlled than the other. The obviously legal one is oxycodone. What makes it so special that it’s legal? What’s so bad about heroin? Oxycodone is a narcotic that is used to treat moderate to severe pain. Doctors prescribe this medication and it is illegal for the patient to sell or give away their share of it. There are also things that may not be as common. This narcotic should not be taken when you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. Don’t take if you have a history of drug abuse and/or addiction. You should also not take it if you have severe asthma, stomach problems, respiratory problems, or if you’re allergic to any narcotic pain medications. Especially because, if you’re allergic to other medications it’s possible you’re also allergic to oxycodone. You’re supposed to swallow it whole, take it with food, and drink water to help it go down. When you’re prescribed this medication you should only be taking the prescribed amounts. Oxycodone can be taken as a liquid or as a pill. It is odorless, white, and a crystalline type powder. Your taste buds will experience bitter saline taste. After taking your prescribed amount you will need to store it in a room temperature place making sure that it isn’t near moisture, light, and heat. During the time that you’re taking Oxycodone and you suddenly realize you don’t need it anymore you should stop taking it. You have to be careful when getting off of it because, it can be habit-forming and lead to eventual death. Sometimes, when a “druggie” runs out of their usual fix they resort to oxycodone. Their usual fix being heroin. Since heroin gives relatively the same high feeling as oxycodone, oxycodone can be a replacement. Like any drug, there are side effects. Oxycodone has a lot of side effects. The side effects are as follows, but are not limited to: respiratory problems, heart problems, infertility, missed menstrual periods, sexual problems, your cortisol levels may be exceptionally low, seizure, and the
