Watching the film Outfoxed one would think that, yes Fox News is extremely bias. Their tactics of promoting their slogan of fair and balance news is far from being true. I completely agree with the claim that Fox News with their political bias is a danger to American society. Although I believe that claim could have been better supported by adding the news coverages from all the other networks, and showing statistics on the decisions of the public based on the given news by other networks in comparison to Fox viewers.
OutFoxed seemed to have validated the idea that Fox news is not a legitimate news source. Fox has the power to create narratives that would support their ideas and agendas. Their famous line of “some people said” was their way …show more content…
I came across what true journalist should emulate. He interviewed Representative Barney Frank a democrat, family research council Gary Bauer, with reporter George Will, reporter Sam Donaldson on the panel. They also had the mayor of San Francisco, attorney general Dan Lungren, a republican. The topic of discussion was on same sex marriage. At the end of the segment, the reporters had an intelligent discussion with no one side being heard more than the other. Much part of the interview or debate was open to all arguments giving the viewer information to make an intelligent choice on whether they were pro or against same sex marriage. On Fox News reporters would have bashed or attacked their guests for having an opposition on the matter. They would smear the topic with completely ridiculous accusations.
The Koch brothers, Charles and David are well known donors to a network of political candidates which helps their business interests. They are the owners of Koch Industries Inc., which has 100 billion dollars year revenue and for decades they’ve been trying to shape public policies through funding or financial means. Jane Meyer writer for the New Yorker Magazine has described them as “radical libertarians…they oppose big government…” In 2009 Koch Brothers tried to Re-segregate the Wake county public school system in
