Starting a podcast means you are letting your voice inform and educate millions of people all over the world. Pod casting may soon turn out to be the new form of digitized storytelling platform. Bloggers nowadays have started adopting pod casting as a new method to communicate globally. An example is Derek Halpern the founder of Social Triggers who also creates podcasts. Bloggers can create podcasts covering topics such as how to make money blogging, blogging tips and startup advice among others.There are several factors and reasons that warrant bloggers to get into pod casting which include the following.

Firstly, pod casting is an important tool for restructuring and mixing content in order to accommodate a larger and new audience. A larger audience means more exposure to a brand or content. More exposure means more sales and traffic. Pod casting secures people a chance to get their messages aboard without owning a radio show while still giving them freedom to reach out . By and large, blogging entails textual content which may be boring to some readers. Some readers enjoy content which is read to them. Additionally, pod casts would be a great idea for bloggers who want to reach the audience which cannot read. For example a blind person. A pod cast would make it easier for bloggers to reach a large audience with diverse vested interests.

Thirdly, pod casting is an alternative avenue for monetizing a blog. Pod casting can and has opened doors for bloggers to earn money since organisations are always looking for ways to promote their brands. For example, companies may want to involve bloggers who podcast through interviewing industry experts and professionals,leaders in order to share their prowess and competence with the audience.
