An open campus policy gives students more freedom and entrusts them with the responsibility to make the right decisions. In opposition, the closed campus supporters would argue that not all students should receive such trustworthiness from the school. Most would think that only a select group of students should be offered the privilege of an open campus. Another matter with open campus is money issues in many areas in which I will discuss.

These groups of students are not old enough to make decisions wisely and are not mature enough to manage their own time. They also lack cars and modes of transportation since the majority of underclassmen are not old enough to apply for a license. The right to an open campus should be reserved for upperclassmen who have achieved a GPA of 3.0
Vu 2 or above. That way, other students who have yet to experience the policy will be motivated academically in pursuit of this privilege. Also, this will ensure that only the most qualified and trustworthy students will be rewarded with an open campus.
One issue the school should be concerned more about is allowing students enter and leave the school at will. Security might be a problem, but a screening detector can be installed to combat this problem. Also, the school should not be liable if something we're to happen to a student. If a student leaves campus, the school should not be responsible for the actions the student takes place in. A waiver by parents of the student should be signed even if the student is a junior or a senior. This will help the school avoid any potential problems. Financing the security or monitors around the campus should not be difficult to get funds for. The school actually does receive sufficient amounts of money for simple things but they sometimes spend it on trivial items. In any affect, financial issues should not
