Obama V.S. Pharaoh
History repeats itself. So it’s possible for the decisions that are made today, to be similar from times pass. Would President Obama make a good or bad Pharaoh? In this paper it will explain the role of the U.S president and Pharaohs and how the countries are/were run.
Role
The president is considered the voice of the people. The citizens of the U.S. vote for the best person to support and lead the country. The president’s role is to inspire the American people in any situation. He’s the head of state and government and the Commander- in – Chief of the armed forces. He implements and enforces laws written by Congress and appoints the heads of federal agencies. The president meets with American and foreign diplomats and …show more content…
If Congress wanted to enforce the law immediately, they could override the veto with a two-thirds vote of both houses. The president is allow to reach an agreement and sign treaties with other countries but it must be given formal consent by two-thirds of the Senate. “The president has unlimited power to extend pardons and clemencies for federal crimes, expect in cases of impeachment” (The Executive Branch). The president has complete control in some areas while in many other cases he as to go through Congress.
Democracy
The U.S. government is a democracy, like a tripod. There is the executive branch, legislative branch, and judicial branch. Without even one out of the three major parts the system would fail. What’s great about having a democracy is that everyone has every opportunity has the next person. The American people have the freedom of speech, religion, vote, etc. The opportunity to create a stable, secure, and prosperous life. That’s the goal for the most part. And the presidents tries to help the American people achieve that type of life.
