Nothing’s better than being winning. Playing the lottery has its advantages and disadvantages; if you win you can become a millionaire and never have to work a day for the rest of your life if you lose then congratulations you just wasted money on a lottery ticket. Gambling has become an addiction for millions of people in the U.S., and that its disadvantages far outweigh the small chance of winning. Winning the lottery and playing the lottery too much is affecting how are people treated, how their money is spent, and how the lottery is viewed.
Consequently, winning the lottery isn't as great as it sounds; in many cases what happens is that when everyone finds out that you won the lottery they immediately want to take advantage of you. Playing the lottery is a boondoggle if it it is over played once in awhile is not a bad thing almost everything is ok in moderation, however, if you are playing at a rate that you prioritize buying a lottery ticket over paying your bills or buying groceries then it becomes a problem. Ending January 2014, 1,013 people won $1 million or more from the Powerball lottery (Irving). Thus, if you are not one of the few people to win the lottery than you are wasting your money. With that in mind i'm sure that many people would be love to have millions of dollars but if it comes at the cost of how i'm treated, how I spend my money, and wasting money. The lottery can have its benefits, but I believe that the cons outweigh the benefits so much that it isn't worth playing due to the effects.
