Humanity, nowadays, cares nothing for others, only for themselves due to their mentality that is to see only what influences them and believe it is the truth. Elie Wiesel once declared, “When human lives are endangered, when humans dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Where men or women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place- at that moment- become the center of the universe.” Today I am not responding as a student knowledgeable to the unfortunate events, but as a young person of the twenty-first century, Elie Wiesel is indeed correct.
During the tragedy of September 1, World War 2, countless fought, though not all for the same cause. A primary example would be the United States of America. Bullying happens everywhere, schools, public, and social media. Imagine two young girls, both in high school, girl one is the popular one in the school and has the school in the palm of her hand. In addition, girl two is the timid girl who sits in the back to avoid attention until one day she voices her opinion on how her peers are ‘ranked’ based on a class assignment. Girl one takes offense to girl one's words and decides to get back at her by spreading rumors and twisting words like string while she plays innocent. Therefore, in a couple of days, everyone is picking on the innocent girl and the ones who aren't, simply turn their backs. The second girl had not meant any offense; however, it was surely taken that way and someone in the higher rankings used her power to shut her up, just as Hitler used his power to bend people to his
