Persuasive Essay On Minimum Wage

From my experience working at minimum wage is very difficult. Its a strugle to pay for your food, bills, and most of all your children. Minimum wage is low as is, but you have some restarants who pay lower than minimum wage because of tips. I beleive that should be against the law. For most people it ends up less than what they would get paid if they were on minimum wage. Then there is always people out there who will not even pay a tip which effects the waiter/watress. It is wrong because the restarant is doing it to save money for there self. A majority of the americans getting paid the
U.S.'s mininum tipped wage are strugling, to provide there familys with the basic nesesitys to live. This is A direct result of inflation which has driven up the cost of living by 75% over the past twenty-four years. inflation has caused the poverty rate to rise in the United States, a lot of the reaons for this is because of the low income for these employees. These serves are relying on tips to boost there income and they end up making less than minimum wage after a hard day at work. Sometimes people do not even pay a tip, either they do not have enough money or the serves wasnt good enough. When the waiter has 1 customer in an hour and they do not pay a tip the worker is barley getting any money. I have expericed working at a restarant and not getting paid a tip its annoying to most people. And if someone is relying on those tips to have a good pay check they are really going to be effected. All states should ban the tipped minumum wage because it effects people
