Oryx And Crake: An Analysis

Late at night when I’m lying in bed, I think deep into how the world actually works. Everyone seems so blind to the truth now that the media has taken control of people’s minds. It is very difficult to think on our own when there are other outlets giving false information and disbeliefs. The matrix is a machine that makes the mind of a human blind to what’s really around. I try to understand what is going on when it comes down to our society in the United States, how the human body functions, and what makes us who we are. In the Matrix, a human is controlled like a simulator and the only one alive is you. Everyone else alive is either alien like creature or robots. Science explains what makes up the human body and how it operates, but how was it created? A question that many people try to answer is where did the first human being come from? People believe the religious side of human creation while others believe in evolutions. In Oryx and Crake the Crakers believed that they were created by Crake, They also believed that he lived in the sky, and he was pure. This is just like how we live today. Christianity is the most known religion in the United States. Many people are part of this religion, including me. I am not going to say that I do not believe in God, but I do not believe what is in the bible. I have went to public school, went to church every Sunday as a kid, and read verses of the bible. I do not believe what is in the catholic religion. I have many views on my religion, and I have been studying Buddhism. Religions are used to unite people, but like the media it is used for mind control and to tell others what is right and wrong even though it may not be the case. Another question that arises is how are our bodies so complex? People have theories that we were created and programmed, and others believe that we evolved. It makes us humans feel emotion such as pain, sadness, happiness, etc. People that are consciously asleep are blind to the world that is really around them. This also causes them to not know who they are and what is going on within themselves. Society can cause this problems and the source of mind control can do this too. Having the media tell a person they are not skinny enough, they aren’t beautiful enough, or they aren’t wise enough can cause a person to feel lost and even damaged. This can contribute to the matrix. Our external sources are abusing us by using controlling methods and by using propaganda. The United States has created a system to keep us socially unconscious and to have them control what we think and do. It is difficult to understand who we are and what we are trying to be when mind control is taking place. This has to come to a complete end in order for us humans to find out who we truly
