For numerous generations Mexicans have illegally crossed the border into the United States. The high rate of migration from Mexico is due to the close proximity of Mexico and the U.S. Another major reason is the difference in the quality of life between the two countries. Many undocumented immigrants originated from poverty-stricken towns inside Mexico. Many of them desire to come to the United States to achieve the "American dream." For many, just being employed even at a low wage job in the United States provides a higher standard of living than in their home country. Those from bigger cities such as Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City don’t always have a greater quality of life than those Mexicans coming from rural communities. However,
