People all over the world for hundreds of years have relied on Cannabis to soothe their aches and relieve their pains despite the fact that it is still considered an illegal drug in most places. As the buzz to legalize the ancient miracle herb increases, the louder the conversation becomes about how awesome the benefits are. Believe it or not there are countless ailments that can be treated and sometimes cured simply by enjoying a little marijuana. Here are a few you never thought of:

Autism- Autism Spectrum Disorder is defined by a range of brain development disorders primarily characterized by a lack of communication skills, difficulty with social interactions, and repetitive behavior patterns. Autism affects approximately 1 in 68 children in the United States in varying degrees. Intellectual Disability, trouble with motor coordination, and ADD among other health issues can be associated with Autism. Although highly controversial, parents of children with Autism are reporting that medical marijuana is helping to calm anxiety in their children and manage mood swings. Crohn’s Disease- Crohn’s is an inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation of the digestive system affecting anywhere from the mouth to the anus. It is a genetic disease caused by a combination of factors such as environmental, immune and bacterial. The most common symptoms of Crohn’s include abdominal pain, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, weight loss, and fever. Currently there is no cure although some people do experience remission for long periods of time. Studies indicate that patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohns find relief from chronic abdominal pain from smoking marijuana.
