Medical marijuana, we have all heard of it. It's bad for your brain, it's deadly, and cause cancer, but this is not true. “Medical marijuana has many great effects; it helps relieve pain and even treats seizure disorders’’(Harding 1). Found in this research paper by Kim Bellware it’s not deadly in fact no one has ever died from medical marijuana (page two). By examining improved health, decreased pain level, and alternative treatment for medical condition, it is clear that medical marijuana should be legal to take for medical use.
There are more positive effects then there are negative. If you compare medical marijuana and other medicines that you might take on an everyday basis, you will see that most things that are negative for your medications you take every day are the same medical marijuana negative effects. Take Tylenol for incidences “many people have died from an overdose” (Wolters Kluwer). This is wrong having it legalized means the government can control it more. By monitoring the intake and how much is being used. People are going to use it if it's legal or illegal but wouldn’t you like them to have a prescription and not getting their supplies from someone off the street and maybe getting a bad batch and getting sick. Think if one of your love ones needed something and they have tried everything and nothing is working and they are giving up trying, but this could maybe work. Would you try it and have a little longer with the one you love so very much? I know I would but would you? People argue that it damages your health but want can’t you say this for?
