Aurora’s coronation has begun, and Knotgrass, Flittle, and Thistlewit proceed to bestow magical gifts on the newly crowned princess Aurora. Suddenly, a dark green, enchanted mist appears sweeping and devouring any civilian in its path. Striking out the green shadow, maleficent makes a grand entrance, and advances to give Aurora a magical gift as well. As Maleficent begins reciting her spell, she glances over at King Stephan with disgust and hatred. This provokes Maleficent to take away something he loved dearly to pay back the price of her beloved wings, but the monetary value is great and that price is Stephan’s daughter. Maleficent relinquishes her powers, and creates a dark shadow around Aurora as she decides what curse to bestow on the child. “Why, no, your majesty, and to show I bear no ill will, I, too, shall bestow a gift on the child. As mentioned in the examiner, Chris Sawin wrote “But those moments don't last very long as the character becomes more and more watered down and diluted until you can't recognize her anymore.” While I perfectly agree that maleficent has lost her role from being ruthless and cold hearted; maleficent change in character is needed to detail her side of the narrative as well as set up the plot for the remainder of the film. Without these specific details maleficent would be incomplete and inconsistent with the plot. Her character becoming good is valuable in the connection between the aura and the safety of the forest kingdom. This not only makes aura the savior of the forest kingdom, but it preaches a valuable lesson which is genuine love does not always end with a man sweeping a woman off of her

The greatest hero of Greece, was Hercules. The Greeks are much different from the people of 2016, and they valued courage and strength the most, while forgiving him because of their respect for his good deeds. The Greeks valued courage because in their time a common way of living was “survival of the fittest”. When Hercules proved he was courageous and strong to the people by fighting off monsters, he was immediately respected. “Throughout his life Hercules had this perfect confidence that no matter who was against him he could never be defeated, and facts bore him out” (Hamilton 226).…

This quote best relates to the evil and the reasoning behind that Macbeth is the true villain because Macbeth made his own choice not the witches or Lady Macbeth which Buddha’s quote states perfectly; that a man decides whether he or she becomes evil. Macbeth by William Shakespeare is a play that follows our main character, Macbeth, as he learns that he will be Thane of Cawdor and then King of Scotland. After he becomes Thane of Cawdor, he becomes more ambitious and under his wife’s influence which pushed him to kill Duncan to his own free will.…

The perception of what is defined as wrong varies as much as the definition of what is defined as evil. Philosophers have argued that evil is a distinct category from wrong while others have opposed this idea, stating that evil is an extreme wrong. Thus, in terms of an act being both wrong and evil come to the terms that evil is or can be an extreme wrong. I will begin by arguing that evil is not in a different category of wrong, but it is a degree of wrong.
