Male circumcision; a painful, yet relieving cut made to the reproductive organ shortly after birth to ensure a better life.
Male circumcision dates back at least to ancient Egypt but has been practiced in many cultures for centuries, including most modern western cultures; some recent studies found about 77 percent of men are circumcised globally. The overall rate among U.S. males age 14 to 59 is 81 percent, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (John Myers).
Because of its many upsides, male circumcision should be performed among all males at birth, but that is not the case. Despite its outstanding statics, many stubbornly refuse to have the procedure completed. Because of denial from the simple procedure,

It can also take place in a male’s teenage years. It is just more convenient to have the procedure done shortly after birth as the male is forgetful of pain and memory and already in a nude state. The only statistical con of circumcision is having the procedure done in teenage years. The male will experience pain and inflammation, and possible mood swings and/or penile injuries. Even though males who wait until their latter years for the procedure suffer few hardships at the time, they still benefit from it and their health is still in favor in the long …show more content…
Many protesters use that against people who practice circumcision. Many believe they will never have health problems and that it is only a matter of bad genes and poor hygiene. Protesters live by those words and preach that to young males and parents. They go as far as “devoting much of their lives” to the cause and traveling around the nation to convince others to stray away from circumcision (John Myers).
