It contains over 400 different chemicals. There has been reported that 158.8 million of people use marijuana. People who consume marijuana start from when they are teenagers all the way through adulthood. Marijuana has been the second most frequent substance found in the human body. Marijuana should be legalized because it will help the government and the economy. Marijuana should be legalized because it will increase the revenue. According to NIH, “Scientific study of the chemical in marijuana, called cannabinoids, has led to to two FDA approved medications that contain cannabinoids chemical pill form.” The marijuana plant contains chemicals that helps in treating many illness signs and symptom. Marijuana has helped in treating childhood epilepsy. The FDA has approved THC, which can be used for nausea, and pain. Also, CBD has been approved which treats inflammation and control seizure. The WebMD states , “More states are passing laws that allows people to use medical marijuana”(Harding 1). One of the top reasons why marijuana is prescribed is because of pain. The pain can be caused because of an illness or it could be from headaches. The human body already creates marijuana-like chemicals, but prescribing marijuana help those chemicals to function better. According to Disabled World, “ Marijuana is one of the most beneficial and therapeutically active substance known to man.” Marijuana is mostly used and recommended to be used in an herbal therapy. It had been used for approximately 4,000 years. Ancient writings show how it was used for many illnesses. Marijuana can be used therapeutically to relieve muscle spasm and contraction of a muscle. Also, it can be used to treat physiological problems such as depression. Legalizing marijuana is just another way of approving a new medicine.
