Medical marijuana is being used to treat cancer patients throughout the world. A popular treatment for cancer is chemotherapy. Chemotherapy causes patients to have extreme nausea and vomit often. According to the American Cancer Society, “A number of small studies of smoked marijuana found that it can be helpful in treating nausea and vomiting from cancer chemotherapy.” Legalizing marijuana in the state of Florida will make it easier for cancer patients to purchase it whenever they need to rather than waiting for a prescription from a doctor and waiting in pharmacy lines. One of the medical benefits of legalizing marijuana is that it helps treat cancer. Medical marijuana are for people who are suffering from from diseases which is cancer. Marijuana can work similarly to opioids when treating individuals living with cancer related pain. Additionally, it may have anti-inflammatory effects that can help with pain. Some treatment plans may include both opioids and marijuana.Health Benefits also cure diseases and it will cause patients to be in better condition as the medical marijuana is curing them. …show more content…
