There has been many controversial topics of conversation throughout the centuries, and one of the most popular is the legalization of marijuana. For decades, this has been a topic of debate all around the world. In fact, regulations on the use of this drug started in the 16th century. Some places in the United States have legalized marijuana for recreational or medicinal use. Others feel like it should be legalized with no restrictions. I, on the other hand, propose that marijuana be legalized with restrictions because it is needed for medicinal purposes and other important reasons.
There are several reasons why marijuana need to be legalized. One of them is that it would eliminate the probabilities of the danger-causing problem of people having access to more harmful and illegal drugs, specificaclly with teenagers. There has been cases of adolescents from 15 to 18 years old, that look for people who sell marijuana and they end up buying or even consuming other dangerous types of drugs. Another reason is that it will increase the income in the countries, increasing the economy too. Since marijuana is one of the biggest crops around the world, it could be charged a greater amount of taxes. It will also bring an increase in jobs for the people who need it.
