Persuasive Essay On LGBT Rights

The LGBT community has been fighting for their rights for years to have the same freedom as straight people do. The community has slowly gained its acceptance by everyone and recently same marriage has been legalized. While fighting for these rights, they have also supported in fighting other rights in the past for HIV/AIDS patients, and for abortion rights. The LGBT has been successful in helping HIV/AIDS patients that were neglected, but now they can move on and focus on the abortion rights. Similar to the LGBT rights that the community has fought for, these women have the equal opportunities to have the freedom to make choices for themselves. However, some problems that may arise could be civil rights issues, and the diminishing the number of children that are placed for adoption. That may be a good thing, however it adversely effects same-sex couples seeking to adopt. Even with the conflicting sides, the LGBT community would be more pro-choice rather than pro-life. In fact the community might be split in half depending on which two controversial belief they believe more in. However, the Christian community might find themselves siding more with the LGBT community. They would probably be more pro-life since it is a sin to end a potential life and that cannot be undone. They can however fix the “sinner” that is born into the world. They can try to change the child’s sexual orientation, and it can be solved. Also it is less severe compared to people would commit the sin by having the abortion than giving birth to a potential “sinner”. It never said it was a sin to give birth to one. Not only that, every individual is different, just because the person has the gay gene, does not mean that the child is definitely gay.
