In my opinion, Antony speech was more delivered better because includes several persuasive details in his speech. After saying that his intent wasn't to praise Caesar, he says, "He was my friend, faithful and just to me. " Antony's speech points out many of Caesar acts that had benefited them as Roman citizens. He plays with their minds saying that Caesar had been generous to them and protected them from the "intruders". He uses rhetorical questions, irony, and etc. to effectively persuade his audience to join his side instead of Brutus'.…
Antony, in his eulogy, presented himself as filled with grief and loss; however, a form of subliminal persuasion and manipulation is used to sway the Roman people in his favor. The loyal friend of Caesar appeared to be supportive of the conspirators, but his devotion to the true king never wavered. While he praised the conspirators for being “such honorable men”, Antony admitted how he grieved for his friend. He utilized paralipsis in his cajolery, stating that “I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, / But here I am to speak what I do know.”…

There is no specific date of Caesar’s birth due to issues of ancient Roman dating, but it is approximate that Gaius Julius Caesar was born 102-100 BC. One is known to have died 97 B.C, there may be other siblings that are unknown, but high mortality rate during this time leads historians to believe that others of his family died soon after birth.^2His family was in the upper middle class in terms of their wealth.
