Did you know that between 14,500 and 17,500 people are trafficked into the United States each year? Human trafficking has been around in the United States for some time yet the numbers of human trafficking cases have not been decreasing over the years. The illegal trading needs to have an end to it, to prevent any more young people being taken away from their life. Sex Trafficking and Labor trafficking is where victims are forced to work without any benefits to them since they are working under someone, it’s not a good when life when people have to live a completely controlled life. There needs to be a reminder to our community that human trafficking exist that there have been people being blackmailed or kidnapped to be sold off to other people for money. Our community needs to know that our youth could be in danger to walk around without even knowing they could be targeted by traffickers. Correspondingly, to let people know that the victims of human trafficking have been living a life that is being controlled by someone and how it feels to be in that position.
