According to Merriam-Webster.com, homework is defined as “an assignment given to a student to be completed outside the regular class period.” If students were not given homework, Stein’s mood would improve, students would have a better life outside of school, and other people in the students’ lives would benefit as well. Students in the Honors English 10 class should not be given any homework. Most importantly, if students were not given homework in Honors English 10, Stein’s mood would improve. First of all, Stein would have much more time to spend with her beloved family. Stein’s husband would be much happier if her students did not have any homework because she would be in a far better mood. Although Stein already spends time with her family, she would be in a much better mood, and this would make the time that was spent with her husband and other family members more …show more content…
Most importantly, homework causes excessive stress for students. It leads to sleep deprivation and fatigue that could be avoided if homework was not assigned. Also, if Honors 10 didn’t have homework, then students would be able to spend more time with their families. Without homework, students would be in a better mood, be able to do more chores around the house, and have more time to form bonds with their parents that would last a lifetime. In addition, students would have more time to study for tests. The students would have an increased amount of time for studying and this would lead to higher test scores. Moreover, students would have more time to participate in activities. Students could volunteer, participate in a sport like tennis or volleyball, and/or join a school club like Student Council. Although students may already partake in activities, they would have an increased amount of time that would allow them to become more involved in activities of their
