Some legislators have taken steps to reduce heroin abuse, however the costs associated with this epidemic are growing and the health, safety, and prosperity of our communities are at risk. This is a disease, and an epidemic, and we need more resources and more compassion. Who will suffer from this epidemic next a next door neighbor, a fellow colleague, someone sitting next to you in church, or even your own family member. There is so much heroine around, and even though the problem is well known, without a proposed solution the problem is left unmanaged and morbidly discouraged. How many more families have to be burdened by this drug before the problem comes to an end.
