Having your gun in a safe place where children can’t access them is a really smart idea and it would save many children’s lives. When children are little, they are curious and want to know what everything is, so therefore when they see something that looks “cool”, they want to play with it. Parents should make sure their guns are put in a safe place considering little children don’t know how to act around them and how dangerous they can be. “They are just not mature enough to exercise good judgment around guns.” (Redfearn). Considering this statement, you should never leave your child unattended with a gun.
