When Brian is trying to make fire it takes him a long time to even make a spark! But in this quote Brian shows the determination to make a fire on page 86 it says “ He made the nest ready again, held the hatchet backward, tensed and struck four quick blows.” Unlike Brian I would’ve quit a while back and try to do something else. This would also lower my chances of survival because fire is an important resource. Lastly, if I didn’t have a fire then I would have to keep eating the same things and eat stuff raw.
Unlike Brian I do not think that I could survive in the canadian wilderness after looking over my characteristics and my abilities to see day fifty four. Brian endured many challenges over the gruelling fifty four days but he persevered through it and did not give up. In conclusion, although Hatchet has many thrills in their like Brian getting stranded in the wild, I’m hoping that no one ever has to go through what Brian had to and that it will stay in the thrills and wonders through the pages of the book
