How did you feel about Harambe murder? Even though Harambe was a western gorilla this is still a threat to gorillas. Eastern Gorillas are being extinct because of events like this. I know you are probably asking why did you chose Eastern Gorillas when there are animals like Giant Pandas that you can write about! The thing is that Gorillas aren’t an animal’s many people are interested about, but what they don’t know is that gorillas are the closest things to a human. Think about let’s say that humans go extinct and the other species that will take over the world with about the same knowledge as a humans and they see a picture of how we look, who do you think they are going to experiment on? Gorillas! They are the closest thing to a human. For example, we both have …show more content…
That is why gorillas and most importantly eastern gorillas are being extinct. It’s because us as humans keep Earth like a trashcan. We leave it a mess and all the mess ends up in the gorilla’s environment and endangers the gorillas. Did you know that Eastern Gorillas are one step away from being extinct and so are other gorillas and us as humans aren’t doing anything about it. There are many scientist that are helping by keeping the gorillas in a sanctuary and keeping them safe. Even thought that is a great way to keep an eye on the gorillas and making sure they are okay. I do not think that is the best way to keep an eye on the gorillas. In my opinion the best way to help the gorillas is to experiment with them. There are many sanctuary’s that keep the gorillas and never let them free. For example, the gorillas at the zoo they are never let free and are there to feel sad and abandon. NO! That is not how you are supposed to treat animals. In my opinion if I could help the gorillas I would have a project. In my project I would cooperate with any other business that is already helping endangered animals such as the Eastern Gorilla

Orangutans are somewhat solitary species but to some degree as also somewhat social. Flanged adult male orangutans are the most solitary of all orangutans with their participation in social activity limited to short sexual encounters with adults or sub adult females; however, there were none of these at the zoo. Male orangutans normally do not even play a role in the upbringing of their offspring. Females do associate with their offspring and they have a relationship that lasts for many years sometimes being carried by their mother until the age of five and even being breastfed until the age of eight; however, the young’s time spent with other orangutans is brief. Offspring typically remain close to their mother until ten years of age, and…

For most people, it’s hard to wrap their head around the idea that animals all over the world are being abused, neglected, or even used in animal fighting. It’s a very sad concept to fully understand because most people think, “Why would someone do terrible things to an innocent animal?”. That is a type of question that many organizations are asking themselves today. Every day thousands of animals are brought to shelters because of the hardships that they had to go through during their life outside of the kennel.…

A trip to the zoo is always enlightening as no matter how long ago it was we last visited we can always forget something about the animals that live this world with us. Going to the zoo can remind us that we are creatures just like these animals, but also remind us that we are so much more than just animals. Our lives on the surface seem so much more complex than the primates around us, however if we could take the time to observe the lives and the emotions of the animals around us then maybe we can learn who they are, and maybe who we are. The primate that I picked was a mongooses lemur, native to Madagascar.…

Public shootings or mass public killings have been an epidemic that our society as a whole has had to deal with since the beginning of time. Throughout all these events one thing has often been the same, they had planned it beforehand before they executed the deed. People seem to think that banning guns will in turn solve the conflict that we face currently but that is a very ill conceived notion. The solution to this problem is to enforce stronger gun laws and regulations. For example they should put a limit on purchasing guns without a background check to look for any mental instability and a gun ownership license.…

Ever since I was young, I have always loved my stuffed animals; even today, a large portion of my bed is covered in them. Each animal has a name and a story of who it is and how it became mine. Out of all of these animals, one specific gorilla holds a special place in my heart, because of how I came to acquire it. This gorilla, named Monkey, was given to me in March of 2003: the last time I saw my father before he totaled his truck. Cherishing Monkey is my way of reminding myself that, while he is not physically the same, my dad is still the same dad he was before his wreck.…

When it comes to the topic of the Death Penalty you have to ask yourself the morality of what you are doing, and if other human beings should have the right to take the life of someone else for what you deem as wrong above and beyond the normal crime. From an economic standpoint you realize that it is extremely inefficient not only in terms of time, but in the sheer amount of money it takes for the death penalty to actually be handed down making it more economically inefficient. I. Monetary Cost a. Texas i. Being the state with the largest amount of executions I deemed it fitting to be seen as a key component of defining how much it really costs to actually have the death penalty take place. ii.…
