In 2017 about 15,549 people died from murder by a gun. Our gun laws here in the US are horrible and need to be fixed, or else this will continue. The leaders in the United States need to start taking action, giving your condolences isn’t enough. It isn’t doing anything. People are more important than guns, they are the foundation of America. Guns are killing down our foundation & taking people away from their lives, families, friends, and basically everything. In America we need stricter gun law to prevent these horrible deaths and massacres from happening again. In 2016 about 50% of households owned a gun, which is insane. Before you start, I know you might say “well people need guns from protection” well think about it this way, what are these people protecting themselves from… guns. Most of these households include families, about 30%. Now think what if your child got a hold of your gun. Guns cause so much danger and if we had gun laws that restrict certain people or less people to buy

In Blacksburg, VA 32 people died in 2007, after a gunman shot 33 students before taking his own life. Orlando Florida 50 people died in 2016 from a nightclub shooting. Las Vegas Nevada 58 people died in 2017 at a causal concert, the man shot 58 people from a hotel only miles away. From this data you can see that as the years increase so does the amount of people killed. If don’t have have stricter gun laws the numbers will keep going up. These people who have these guns, got them so easily it's insane, think about how many gun massacres we could have prevented if we had these laws. In other countries like Australia, according to snopes.com after passing gun laws there amount of deaths by guns has decreased insanely. Their government even destroyed 640,381 personal firearms. There's proof these laws work, but first we need our leaders need to do is enforce
