Take a moment to just think for a second, think about strolling through the mall, or attending a class in session, or going to the movie theater to watch something you’ve been waiting for, and then imagine what it would be like to have everyone surrounding you with guns in their pockets or bags. The second amendment allows people in America to carry handguns. Even though there are a couple of different types of guns out there for sporting activities, the rest are not. There are people who say that guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Yes, but the reason why people kill others is because they are allowed to posses a handgun. Why are Americans so obsessed with owning guns? Even though citizens have the right to have guns for home security or defending one self, most people who have them take advantage of owning a gun and they kill innocent people who have done no harm to them. The United States of America should now allow such a right because there have been so many shootings left to right in cities across the states. If people are allowed to have guns as long as they’re permitted then why are there such stories like in 2012 a mother who shot her handgun to scare away an intruder but got sentenced for 20 years? Not for killing the intruder, but just simply firing a warning shot so that it would scare an intruder away. Doesn’t make any sense why the law would approve of having a handgun for home security but then put people to jail for using it for the right reason. The reason why cruel people are allowed to harm others is because they have the right to own a gun and that there are private vendors out there who sell guns to people without performing any background checks, or permitting them. It really doesn’t sound like the governments really care about citizens and their safety. If they really did care about humans and really wanted to protect them they would not allow handguns to be concealed out in public. If people are required to go through training to obtain a license to drive, they also should be required to take extensive course training on guns in order to obtain a license when wanting to own a
